We are The Pee Dee Indians. Our ancestors were some of the Indians that Juan Pardo met in 1560 when
he was exploring the interior of what is now the State of South Carolina. Our ancestors lived along the Great Pee Dee
River, which got it's name from our people.
The Pee Dee Indians have fought in every war and conflict from the Revolutionary War to the War in the Middle
East. The Pee Dee Indian has survived through some trying times. Today we are still struggling to improve our
lives and be accepted as the people we are. We are not receiving any type of Federal or State assistance at this time.
Which leaves the seniors and young families in a bad situation. Our only means of income is from the generosity of those
that make donations to our tribe, which is used to help those members in need of help.
