Donations Help The Tribe and Tribal Members

The Pee Dee Indian Tribe of South Carolina is a State Recognized Indian Tribe by the State of South Carolina.  We are a 501c 3 Non-Profit Organization.  We will provide tax receipts for your donations over $25 dollars.

Our donations are used for operations of the Tribe i.e. phone bills, storage, supplies.  Anything extra is used to provide help to families within the Tribe that need it.  We have lots of needs within the Tribe however at this time our funds do not cover the expenses to even operate properly.

Thanks to our Chief and a few members we are barely getting by.  That is why we are asking for your help.  We do not want to have to turn anyone away because we could not give them the things they needed.  With so few funds available through the Federal and State Government we have to depend solely on the kindness of your donations.  Without your donations a family may have to go without food or shelter or their children may have to go to school without supplies.

At the present time we have a temporary 14 x 70 single wide trailer that is being used as our Tribal operations Center and Meeting place, until we have the means to build the planned 40 x 60  building on our land, this will provide place to come together and govern the Tribes affairs.  So that we can make a difference in the lives of our people and help them get on the right path for their future.  To teach them about there heritage so they can pass it along to their children.

There once was a day when Native Americans were forgotten and certain people liked it that way but we are not gone we are here and it's time for our voice and opinions to be heard.  We are a strong people and we have the intelligence to be able to go out and compete with the best, in the world job market.  It's just some need a little help getting to that point.  To know they are somebody and they can do anything, anybody else can do.

Please, here are pictures of food baskets we made  to give out to our families who didn't have the money for a Christmas dinner.  This was along with our annual Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner we have every year which is open for all tribal members and anyone that wants to come.  One year the proceeds from our Turkey Shoot helped to by the food.  The next year the turkey shoot didn't fair so good, so Chief Caulder bought the food himself.  Because we did not have enough money in the Tribal fund to do so.  But rather than see these people go without, out of the kindness of his heart he stepped up and bought dinner for 10 families.  People this was no easy feat.  So please won't you step up also just as he did and others have had to in the past.

Not only have we made food baskets for needy families but we have not forgotten our elders.  we have made fruit boxes and took them to local nursing homes for the Senior Indian Elders and non Indian residents. Last year we did not have the available funds to do so.  But just to look on the faces of those elder people and see how grateful they were for that small token of kindness of being given some fruit is enough to warm your heart.  And show you it only takes one person to step up to make a difference in someone else's life.

These are just a few of the things our Tribe does to help the community.  We also give school supplies to children in grades K-12.  We have a member who has provided transportation to members back and forth to the doctor.  We also help with medical and electric and many other needs that our members may have.

As you can see we do and try to do lots of things to give back and help our Tribe but we need your help.  Please donate and come see how your blessing has blessed others.  There is no need for our Indian people to live in poverty, when those of us can help them rise up to a decent living. Our Ancestors took care of the Indian families that lost their male provider, they were not allowed to go hungry or be without the things needed to survie.

We are asking that you just donate a few dollars to the tribe. We appreciate donations from the non Indian citizens of our loal communities and those from a far off.

Thank You!
Chief Caulder

Our goal is 25 baskets for Thanksgiving and 25 for Christmas and fruit boxes to the nursing homes.  Could you please try to make this happen for us?  Also you can send school supplies.

Don't forget we also having our building fund.  We really need this building.  We need a place we can go, so these Tribal members can come to us and get help but right now it's hard because we are scattered between places.  Also once we get our building finished we will be right off of a major highway so anyone can come and meet us and learn about our Tribe.  And participate in Tribal events held on our own land.

But none of this can be done without help from you.

Thank you from The Pee Dee Indian Tribe of South Carolina
